1996 VOLVO 960 - $1,100 (FIRM) - SOLD! (in 1 day)
(scroll down for more information)
The Owner, our Customer (Kevin):
Done LOTS (!) of Repairs to the car, until it was in excellent condition to last for another 100,000 miles, and then someone backed into it and ran (hardly any body damage to be seen, but broke the brand-new radiator underneath), and the engine overheated. It needs a head gasket and new radiator (quote: ~$1,400).
The Volvo is still at the shop, and they handle the calls for me. I can't afford to put more money into it, and rather take $1,100 (FIRM) at this time and have you do the repair (at Freddie’s or anywhere else you want).
My Volvo has always been babied - I put close to $4,500 into it since May 2009, so you get a rock-solid and very safe car (I have all the receipts). It has ~160,000 miles on it, which is not much for a Volvo.
- new transmission (and a real rebuild, see the overview here)
- engine timing belt, tensioner
- water pump
- new engine oil pan gasket (a 6-hour labor job)
- several other engine oil / seal repairs (camshaft, crankshaft)
- engine oil exchange adapter
- heater control valve
- coolant reservoir and sensors
- power steering pump (with fluid service etc)
- seat belt receiver
$1,100 FIRM - SOLD - Thanks for your Interest
